LENS PRICES
What new lenses really cost in Dubai, official price beside ours.
Optical shops rarely publish lens prices: you find out at the counter, once the frame is chosen. Here are real examples from our price list, for the lenses Dubai wearers ask for most, each one beside the official price of the manufacturer.
The rule behind every line is simple: FrameLens is always at least 25% below the official price list, on Essilor, Rodenstock and EGMA alike. These are lenses only, fitted into the frame you already own, VAT and fitting included.
No account, no obligation — your exact price before you decide.

What changes the price of a lens
Three things set the price: the design (single vision, or a progressive whose comfort grows with the range), the index (1.60 is the everyday choice, 1.67 and 1.74 are thinner for strong prescriptions or rimless frames), and the coating (anti-reflective, easy-clean, blue light filtering).
Options come on top: photochromic lenses that darken in the sun, or tinted sun lenses for the car. The order flow shows the exact total for your prescription, official price and FrameLens price side by side, before you pay anything.
Essilor, Rodenstock or EGMA?
Essilor is the reference: Crizal coatings, Eyezen for screens, the Varilux progressive range up to XR Design. We are an authorised Essilor distributor, so a Varilux at FrameLens is the same Varilux you would buy in a mall, at a lower price.
EGMA is the independent Dubai lens lab we work with: excellent value, made locally, with its own single vision and progressive lines. For many prescriptions it is the smart choice; for demanding progressive wearers, Varilux remains our first recommendation.
Rodenstock is the German premium choice: precision lenses made since 1877, from the Cosmolit single vision to the individually computed Impression progressive.
A second pair for 40% less
Order a second pair of lenses at the same time and its lenses get 40% off: prescription sun lenses for driving, or a computer pair for the office. Both pairs are fitted in our DIFC lab and ready in 1-2 days for most prescriptions.
QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
How much do progressive lenses cost in Dubai?
It depends on the design and the index. As examples from the table above, a Varilux Comfort Max in 1.60 with anti-reflective coating is listed at its official price and sold at least 25% below it at FrameLens; the flagship Varilux XR Design costs more, EGMA progressives less. Your exact price appears in the order flow before payment.
What is the EGMA lenses price list?
EGMA publishes an official price list for its lenses, like Essilor does. FrameLens sells every EGMA lens at least 25% below that list. The tables on this page show typical EGMA single vision and progressive lenses with both prices.
Are these prices for the lenses only?
Yes. FrameLens fits new lenses into the frame you already own, so there is no frame to pay for. VAT and fitting are included in every price shown.
Why is FrameLens cheaper than other opticians?
Same lenses, lower overheads: we sell online and fit in our own DIFC lab, with a permanent policy of at least 25% below the official price list. No house brand substitution: the lens named on your order is the lens fitted.
Will my final price match this page?
Yes for the same lens, index and coating: the page and the order flow use the same price list. Your prescription may call for a different index or option, and the order flow always shows the exact total before you pay.
