BLUE LIGHT

Blue light filtering, built into your lenses.

Ten hours of screens a day is the Dubai standard. Blue light filtering lenses reduce the share of high-energy blue-violet light that reaches your eyes — and the tired, dry, end-of-day feeling that comes with it.

FrameLens fits blue light filtering prescription lenses into your own frames: as a built-in feature of Essilor's screen-focused Eyezen designs, or as an option on most other lenses in the range. Always 25% below the official price list.

A filter in the lens, not a gimmick coating

There are two honest ways to filter blue light. The best is a lens designed for it: Eyezen carries Blue UV Capture in the material itself, filtering part of the blue light screens emit — and the UV behind it — without the yellowish cast of cheap clip-ons. The second is adding the filter as an option on a classic lens, which we offer wherever the manufacturer actually makes that combination.

Either way it is a real prescription lens first: your correction, your index, your Crizal coating against reflections and scratches — the filter comes on top, not instead.

Who actually benefits

If your day is screens — trading floors, design work, long evenings of streaming — a screen-focused lens earns its keep. Eyezen designs also add a subtle support in the lower part of the lens that relaxes near vision during long focus, a genuine difference at hour eight.

Blue filtering is not a medical treatment and we will not pretend otherwise: it will not correct your sight or replace breaks from the screen. It removes one source of strain, cleanly, inside a lens you would be buying anyway.

Ordering is simple

Photograph your prescription, choose your lens — the flow flags where blue filtering is built in and where it is an option — and pay online. Then get your frame to our DIFC boutique in person or by courier. Standard lenses are ready within 48 hours of your frame arriving.

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Do blue light glasses actually work?

They filter a measurable share of blue-violet light, and many heavy screen users report less end-of-day eye fatigue. What they do not do is cure anything or replace screen breaks. We fit them because the filter is real and the marginal cost is small on a lens you need anyway — not because of miracle claims.

Can I add blue light filtering to my current frames?

Yes. We fit new lenses with blue filtering into the frames you already own — that is our whole service. On Eyezen lenses the filter is built into the material; on other designs it is an option where the manufacturer makes it.

Is blue light filtering available with my prescription?

Almost always. The order flow only ever shows you combinations that are manufacturable for your exact correction — if a filter, index or design does not exist for your prescription, you will simply not see it, rather than discover a problem after paying.

Blue filter or Transitions — which should I pick?

You may not have to choose: every Transitions lens filters blue-violet light by design, indoors in its clear state as well as outdoors — on top of darkening in the sun. If you prefer a lens that never tints, choose a clear lens with the filter built in, like Eyezen, or added as an option.
