Fitted properly, or not at all
A progressive lens that is not centred on your pupils is a headache — literally. If these are your first progressives, we ask you to drop your frame at the boutique in person: pupil height is measured with the frame on your face, before cutting. Experienced wearers can send their frame by courier like any other order.
After fitting, every pair goes through a final quality control against your prescription. If the correction does not feel right, bring the glasses back with your old lenses — if the error is ours, we remake them free.
What progressive lenses cost in Dubai
The price depends on the design and the index, and you see it exactly — official price and FrameLens price side by side — before paying. Whatever you choose, it is at least 25% below the official price list, VAT and fitting included. A second pair ordered at the same time gets 40% off its lenses: many progressive wearers pair their everyday lenses with prescription sun lenses for the car.

Multifocal, progressive, varifocal — what is the difference?
None, in practice: they are three names for the same lens. Dubai clients usually say multifocal, British expats say varifocal, manufacturers say progressive — a lens whose power changes smoothly from distance at the top to reading at the bottom, without the visible line of old bifocals. Everything on this page applies to all three names.
Which progressive lens should I choose?
For most wearers we recommend Varilux Physio Extensee: the best balance of field width, adaptation speed and price in the range. If you want the best available, Varilux XR Design is the flagship. If budget leads, Liberty 3.0 is the essential that still carries the Varilux name. The order flow only shows designs manufacturable for your prescription.
Can progressive lenses be fitted to my existing frames?
Yes — that is exactly what we do. Full-rim, semi-rimless and rimless frames all take progressives; the frame type simply sets the minimum lens material so the result is safe and durable. Your frame is covered at market value while it is with us.
How long does it take to adapt to progressive lenses?
Most wearers adapt in a few days to two weeks. Modern designs like Physio Extensee and XR have wider corridors and smoother transitions than older generations, which shortens the adjustment. Proper centring matters more than anything — which is why we measure first-time wearers in person.
Why are your progressive lenses cheaper than mall opticians?
Same lenses, different overheads. We sell online, fit in our own DIFC atelier, and hold a permanent policy of 25% below the official price list — you can compare both columns at checkout. There is no catch and no house brand substitution: Varilux is Varilux, and we are an authorised Essilor distributor.
