Your tint, your way
Solid tints in four colours — grey-blue, brown, green and black — give full category 3 sun protection edge to edge. Gradient tints run dark at the top and lighten toward the bottom: sun cover where the sky is, easier reading where your dashboard and phone are. Both are available across single vision and progressive designs.
Crizal Sun UV comes recommended and pre-selected at no extra cost: an anti-reflective finish tuned for dark lenses, killing the mirror effect on the back face that bounces light into your eyes from behind.
The second-pair move
Most sun lens orders arrive as a second pair — everyday clear lenses in one frame, sun lenses in another — because ordering both together takes 40% off the second pair's lenses. It is the most cost-effective way to own proper prescription sunglasses in Dubai.

Photograph your prescription, choose sun lenses at the lens step, pick finish and colour, pay online. Your frame reaches us at DIFC in person or by courier; your finished sunglasses come back checked and ready. Frame covered at market value, coatings guaranteed a year.
QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
Can you put prescription sun lenses in any sunglasses frame?
Most, yes — including many designer sunglass frames. The frame type sets the lens material (rimless and semi-rimless need tougher, higher-index lenses), and our order flow only offers combinations that are safe for your frame. If our optician judges a frame unsuitable, we tell you before touching it and refund in full.
Are these lenses polarised?
The FrameLens online range uses premium Xperio tinted lenses — category 3 sun protection with Crizal Sun UV, which handles glare excellently for everyday and driving use. If you specifically want polarised lenses, message the boutique on WhatsApp at +971 55 752 4880 and we will quote it as a bespoke order.
Solid or gradient tint — which should I choose?
Solid for maximum protection and a classic sunglass look, especially outdoors and on the water. Gradient if the glasses double as driving or terrace glasses — dark against the sky, lighter for the dashboard, the menu, the phone. Colour is mostly a style call: grey-blue keeps colours neutral, brown warms and sharpens contrast.
How dark are category 3 lenses?
Category 3 is standard sunglass darkness — the same class as most quality sunglasses sold in the UAE, suited to bright sun and driving. It is the right choice for Dubai daylight; category 4 exists for glaciers and open sea, and is not road-legal for driving.
