How lens replacement works
Start with a photo of your prescription — our system reads it and a licensed optician checks every value before anything is cut. Then tell us about your frame (full-rim, semi-rimless or rimless: each takes a different lens material, and we only offer combinations that are actually safe for your frame).
Pick your lenses: single vision or progressive, from Essilor — we are an authorised Essilor distributor — or from EGMA, an independent Dubai lens lab, with thinner high-index options up to 1.74 and coatings from the Crizal range. You see the exact price before you pay, recalculated on our servers, never a quote that moves later.
Bring your frame to Gate Avenue at DIFC, or book any courier — a Careem rider works perfectly. We fit your new lenses, run a final quality control, and tell you the moment your glasses are ready to collect.
What it costs
Every lens on FrameLens is priced at least 25% below the official Essilor price list — permanently, not as a promotion. You see both columns at checkout: the official price, and yours. Add a second pair and its lenses are 40% off.
There is nothing to add at the till: prices include 5% VAT, fitting, and the final quality control. If your frame deserves a refresh, a professional polish and adjustment is available as an option.
Your frame is protected, in writing
Handing over a frame you love takes trust, so our three promises are written into your order. Your frame is covered at its current market value while it is with us. Our optician — more than ten years fitting luxury frames — has a professional duty to refuse a frame he judges too fragile to re-lens, with a full refund before anything is touched. And every coating is guaranteed for one year.
If the correction does not feel right, bring the glasses back with your old lenses: we check the fitting against the originals and the correction against your prescription. If the error is ours, we remake the lenses free of charge.
QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
Can you put new lenses in any frame?
Almost any — full-rim, semi-rimless (nylor) and rimless frames are all reglazed daily, in metal, acetate or titanium. The one exception is a frame our optician judges too fragile to survive the work: in that case we tell you before anything is touched and refund you in full.
How long does lens replacement take in Dubai?
Standard single-vision lenses are cut, fitted and quality-checked within 48 hours of your frame reaching us. Specialised lenses — very high powers, some Transitions combinations — are made to order and take about ten extra working days. You are told before you pay, and you can follow every step on your private tracking page.
Do I need to visit the boutique?
Only your frame does. Order and pay online, then either drop the frame at our boutique in Gate Avenue, DIFC, or send it with any courier — most clients book a Careem. First-time progressive wearers are the exception: we take pupil measurements with the frame on your face, so we ask you to come in person.
Do you replace lenses while I wait?
We do not fit lenses on the spot — every pair goes through cutting, fitting and a final quality control, which is how we can guarantee the work. Most orders are ready within 48 hours, and we tell you the moment yours is.
