Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

To make your lenses we collect: your contact details (name, email, phone), your optical prescription — the photo you upload and the values read from it, which are health data — your age, your lens and frame choices, and your order history. Payment details never reach us: cards are handled entirely by Stripe.

2. Why we collect it

Your prescription is used for exactly one thing: cutting and fitting your lenses, including its verification by our optician. Your contact details are used to keep you informed about your order (confirmation, workshop progress, collection) and to answer you when you write to us. Your invoice data is kept because tax law requires it.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

3. Where it lives

Order and prescription data is stored in an access-controlled database (Supabase). Emails are sent and received through Google Workspace. Payments are processed by Stripe. Each of these processors only receives what it needs for its role.

Our lens suppliers receive the optical values needed to cut your lenses — never your contact details.

4. How long we keep it

We keep your order records for as long as needed to honour your guarantees and to meet legal and tax obligations. Prescription photos are kept while they are useful to your orders; you can ask us to delete them at any time, and we will — unless a legal duty requires us to keep a record.

5. Your rights

Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, you can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Write to orders@framelens.ae — we answer within the day.

6. Cookies & measurement

framelens.ae remembers your in-progress order in your own browser — that is what makes the journey work.

We also use Meta's advertising pixel to measure our campaigns: it records events such as a page view, reaching the payment step, or a completed purchase with its amount. When a purchase is confirmed, our server also reports it to Meta with a hashed, unreadable version of your email address, used only to match the event for measurement. Meta never receives your prescription, your date of birth, or any health information — nothing about your sight ever leaves our systems.

Finally, we collect anonymous, cookie-free visit statistics (pages viewed, country, device type) to understand how the site is used. These are aggregated and can never identify you.
